PostPosted: Tue Sep 08 09    Post subject: Feb.15, 2010 FAMILY DAY

In an effort to make our yearly hosted event a success for all involved as other years so far all WCICS race dates for regina have tried to be and will endeavour to continue to be arranged to coincide with our family day weekend so that racers from our fellow alberta r/c clubs in the series, calgary, edmonton and lethbridge who share the same holiday weekend are hopefully more than encouranged to attend and will have that extra day for a more relaxed travel time to get home especially as winter weather can definitely be unpredictable.

Here problem solved

Step 1

Make sure your VCR is hooked up to the back of the TV with the and there is a blank VHS tape in it. I recommend 6 hour tapes which are around $10 for 6-10 of them.

Step 2

Use the up and down buttons on the VCR or remote to change to the channel you want to record. Press the TV/VCR button on the remote. That shows directly what channels it's going to be recording but it has to be on channel 3. If you have cable you can watch something else while it's recording. Just set to the chanel on the VCR you want to record and push the TV/VCR button turning it off. (If you have digital or satalite that requires you to be on channel 3 you must change to the channel you want to record on and set the channel to 3 leave it on to record.

Step 3

Select the speed with speed select button VCR remote. Change to SLP which allows you to record over as long as much as you want. The other speed records 2 hours and 4 hours but you can't record over.

Step 4

When the show comes on hit the record circle button on the VCR or remote. It should show the circle showing you it's recording at the moment. When you stop it or run out of tape and it's not recording anymore it should go away. When the program you want to record is over just press the stop button. When it reaches the end of the tape it starts to rewind automaticly.

Step 5

If you want to record over something rewind it to the spot you want to record over and press record again. Make sure you don't record over something you want though.

Ok you have like too much time on your hands too do all that Big D

I guess I am just hooked on Nascar being still less than a year since I climbed in a car and drove 50 laps at Lowes at a speed of 152.54 MPH. Thats like 250 km. So watching it I can feel it as if I was behind the wheel again. God what a rush.

I like racing the R/C'S but it is not the same.

Yes I know I can record the race but it not the same as watching it knowing this is happening as I watch it. Taping it and seeing it later you always here things that happened before you sit down too watch it. Like who won! they say on the radio all the time in the sports blurbs. Thats why I dashed out last year because I wanted too watch it and I just made it home in time. Plus I was awful during the event and was not going too place well anyways being my first WCIC last year!.

valentines day again... at least i'll be with my true love, althou im a chassis whore i do keep em in my harem permanently

get with it
my pops spends a #&@%'n fortune every year to keep his three cars running with the top dogs (and winning more than not) like litteraly a fortune, and if theres more than a light scuff it costs a fortune to repair the car
the rc's are cheap and if you crash em they are very cheap to repair

you can count me in helping set-up, racing and tear down . Sitting at home watching inbred rednecks drive around in circles doesn't do it for me, but to each his own. I would much rather be racing, breaking stuff and placing DFL (dead F@#%#&G last). As for a valentines day gift some traction compound smelling flowers for the missus.
